- Cut beef cubes into 1 inch each.
- Heat oil in deep saute pan
- Add beef cubes to heated oil slowly
- Brown beef cubes on all side on high heat. Stir occasionally.
- Add following: coffee, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, water to just cover beef, ketchup. Stir. Bring to boil.
- Add the following: onion, garlic, rosemary, cumin, celery, oregano, bullion cubes, salt & pepper
- Reduce heat to low. Cover & simmer for 1 1/2 hrs
- Make instant potatoes (follow package directions), add sour cream and garlic to potatoes after they cool for 10 mins. If no sour cream you can replace with 2 tablespoons of mayo.
- Slice french bread to your desire and butter each slice and sprinkle garlic powder on each and oregano. Place under broiler for 2 mins or until golden brown.
- 5 minutes before beef is done, add 2 heaping teaspoons of cornstarch to a 1/2 cup of water and stir in cup until dissolved. Add water and cornstarch mixture to beef cubes to thicken the gray. Stir and boil for 2 minutes or until gravy thickens.
- Assemble: place a little bit of potatoes on plate then place french bread slice on top, then top off with more potatoes, then beef cubes and gravy, then add your cooked green beans. Enjoy!
