Known as shakkarpara or shakkarpare in the North of India, this sweet holiday treat is referred to as shankarpali in the Western part of the country. A teatime snack made out of refined flour and whole wheat flour. Shankarpali is a traditional Maharashtrian version of the Shakarpara and is usually made during festivities.
