  1. Make ready 1.5 cup Green Moong dal (hesarukalu)
  2. Prepare 3 tbsp Channa dal

  7. Prepare 4 tsp Rice flour

Add a teaspoon of cumin seeds and a pinch of salt. Mix well and use this as topping. Skip green chillies & ginger if you don't want it spicy. You can make Moong Dal dosa as thin or thick as you prefer.

Instructions to make Pesarattu masala dosa:
  1. Soak Green moong dal + Channa dal + puffed rice for 4-6 hours. Less soaking time will give you crispier dosa.
  2. In a mixer grind the soaked ingredients + cumin seeds+ ginger + chilli. Grind it smooth.
  3. Prepare masala as stuffing for pesarattu dosa. You can see my masala dosa recipe for steps. This is optional to enhance the pesarattu dosa.
  4. Now add chopped onions + hing + salt + jaggery to the pesarattu batter and add water if required.
  5. In a dosa pan brush some oil and pour the batter. Add masala on top of it. Roast it on both the sides
