The ingredients needed to make Cantik Manis:
  1. Get 70 gr hunkwe flour (any color you wish)
  2. Get 120 gr sugar (can be less if you prefer less sweet Cantik Manis)
  3. Take 500 ml coconut milk from 1/2 of coconut
  4. Make ready 2 pandan leaves
  5. Get 40 gr sago pearl (you can give color as you wish)
  6. Take 1/4 tsps of vanilla extract (or powder)
  7. Prepare Salt
Steps to make Cantik Manis:
  1. Prepare the pearl sago: cook it in the boiling water for 15 minutes or until the white sago becomes transparent. You can put coloring agent as you wish. Rest it.
  2. Mix well the hun kwe flour with 250ml of coconut milk. Boil the remaining 250ml of coconut milk with the pandan leaves, sugar, vanilla extract and salt; once it’s boiled, pour the rested hun kwe coconut milk mixture.
  3. Cook it until it pops about. Remember to stir gently to avoid burning and sticking. Turn off the fire.
  4. Pour the rested sago pearl into the well cooked hun kwe. Mix well.
  5. Put the mixture while hot because it settles when it is cool. You might want to wrap it in clear food-grade plastic, banana leaves or just put it in mini plastics cup like I did. Ready to serve.
