- Get 2 medium sized onions
- Take 2 tbsp poppy seeds

- Chop the 2 medium sized onion.
- Soak poppy seeds in Lukewarm water for 1/2 hour. Drain the water and grind poppy seed with 1 green chilli chopped, 1 ginger crushed and a little water to make a fine paste. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in kadai. When the oil is hot. Fry Onion till it become light brown in colour.
- Then add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and salt. Mix properly.
- Add poppy seed paste. Mix it properly till the raw smell of the masala goes off. Then add water as needed. Boil till the water gets dry. Once it is done.
- Transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Ready to serve with hot steam rice.
